Hello! I'm Arjun
I am a graduate student (Senior Research Fellow) in the Goel Lab, working with Dr. Pranay Goel, Associate Professor, IISER Pune. Currently, I work on Mathematical and Statistical Models for understanding the dynamics of Type 2 Diabetes complications and formulating treatment strategies in collaboration with Prof. Saroj Ghaskadbi, SPPU Pune, and Dr. Uma Divate, Jehangir Hospital, Pune.

I am interested in understanding biological systems using various mathematical and computational approaches. I utilize quantitative tools to understand and tackle research problems related to type 2 diabetes. I also work for developing data science, and predictive modeling-based approaches towards better healthcare and precision (personalized) medicine.
​
I have collaborated with Prof. James Sneyd, the University of Auckland, to develop models of Glutathione turnover and responses in human RBCs under different diabetic conditions.
​
I am proficient in using Matlab, R languages for solving scientific problems. I also work with specific R packages like lme4 and nlme for formulating and analyzing a class of statistical models known as multilevel models.
​
I am into trekking and mountaineering, and also interested in activities like badminton, volleyball, etc.
